Spiderdog (41) from Dorset, England, Bournemouth
About me
You know what it's all about - Love?? It's a numbers game. Unsexy as it sounds, s'true. "I can't find love..." - well upload your details to a dozen sites, narrow your horizons, dilute your tastes. Does it really matter if someone's twice as old and four times your size? Hates all your interests and makes you feel queasy on sight. Opposites attract, right? Do it and you'll be tripping over your matches. You'll have 35,000 seedy, 'not-quite-what-I-was-looking-for's spamming your inbox. You might have the taste of sick in your mouth every time you log on, but think of the ego massage. If you don’t believe the above is true – your hope hasn’t withered on the vine and become bitter, man-unfriendly fruit - then browse my profile. If it hits the right notes - say hello. No biggie. Just remember: one person's Knight in shining armour, is another's fugly old skank boy. And [happily] vice versa.

About me
- Where I liveBournemouth - God's waiting room or Club 18-30 Chav resort - discuss. I'm from London, so being beside the sea's good.
- Where are you originally from? I was born in the foothills of the Himalayas (no, really). I lived in numerous countries as a kid, moved a lot, went to oodles of schools and feel pretty comfortable living anywhere. My hometown is London, but I'm living/working in Bournemouth, presently.
- Do you want to stay there?Who knows? I have a pocket philosophy that's brutal, but has a spine of truth in it. "Life is a succession of closing doors". As you get older, your options narrow. At 6, you might want to play football for England, at 16 you already know it's not going to happen. And so it goes on. Travel through life with your foot ready and poised to jam in these closing doors. Leave your options open. I could see myself living practically anywhere - Tahiti, Antarctica, on an asteroid - jeez, even surrounded by french people.
- What is your occupation?Computers
- What are your future plans?I've always got plans. Senility is when you run out of plans.
- Your perfect partnerA buddy to ride shotgun with. Who I like the look of and likes the look of me. Anything less is selling short.
Stuff I like
- What are you interests/hobbies?Art, books, writing, photography, films, travel, music, history. I was a chef earlier in life - so love food too. Favourite dishes: Middle Eastern, Italian/French Med, Authentic Mexican and Asian Rim. With a lottery win I'd travel the world, taking pictures, having adventures and writing about them. Preferably with someone else. Without a lottery win - I'll probably do the same, but on a meaner budget.
- MusicI love to see things I haven't seen before.
- Your fav books/authorsYou don't have to read the same books to get along. It would be nice to talk about occasionally - but it's not a big issue. I've added this info somewhere else.
- What sort of movies do you like?Like: Once upon a time in America, 2001, Swingers, The Thing, Shawshank Redemption, Life and Death of Colonel Blimp, Apocalypse Now, Godfather, Badlands, 8 and 1/2, Chinatown, Star Wars/Empire, Paths of Glory, Manhattan, Sideways, Donnie Darko, Dazed and Confused, Before Sunrise/Sunset, Spoorloos, that'll do... Don't like: I forget bad films. And I'm better at vetting these days - but "Highlander 2" was spectacularly weak.
- Types of people you like?Traits: Kind, tolerant, opinionated, naughty, disobedient.
- What kind of people do you find attractive? Of course the outer appearance of someone means something. But it's part of a bigger whole. I was queuing for a sandwich in Boots a few weeks back and the girl standing in front of me was a total hard-body, 'uber-hottie'. When she got to the counter she gave the guy a hard time as he tried to bag her lunch - snatching it away and moaning about how *she'd* been kept waiting. Throwing rudeness back at someone being polite is so skanky. She may have had the goods, but inside? A self-important, fugly, hose-beast. Looks count, but not as much as some think.
- FoodI can cook - but it's nice to have someone cook for me too. Food is like a user-friendly way of accessing different cultures. Much as I like eating in restaurants - If you really want to eat French food, you have to go there. Same with Indian, Moroccan, Mexican etc. Food's like a sub-section of travel.
- DrinksNo, I like to have a drink. Enjoy stumbling home occasionally. I'll have wine with my tea if I'm staying in - but drink beer down the pub.
