July, 8th 2007Age Gaps: Do They Really Matter?Expanding Perceptions in the 21st Century
Does age really matter? As long as there is honesty, maturity and responsibility on behalf of both involved parties – No! It does not matter one bit. We as a world culture have been taught that age does matter; our trained perceptions tell us it does, but why risk the chance of having a possible soul mate just because of an antiquated social stigma? Let’s say a 37 year old man meets a 23 year old woman online. They hit it off right from the start. They have the greatest conversations; share similar passions and laugh at all the same places in a sentence. Both share good grammar, a love for coffee and misty, rain-dropped mornings, along with a penchant for losing their car keys. They are romantically compatible and satisfy each other in a way that no one else has. They both feel the breaths of new air, and idle thoughts are of nothing but their next moment together. Typically, because of the age gap, one or the other would hesitate when talk of getting serious surfaced. Why? Happiness is hard to find in another. If you think you’ve found it in someone significantly older or younger, take a chance. You just might fly with wings, or, in the very least, you’ll land on fresh ground. Just don’t forget….honesty, maturity and responsibility. more articles by Neal D. Bogosian
