About me
Rumi says the donkey represents the heart. I pat mine as I dismount... I had a fine war horse but I loaded him with my armour, sword and other such weapons of messy distraction and let him go. I have no need of such things now. So, into what woodland have I come? I hear noises off and glimpse a fleeing thing. Who are you who spy on me from your hiding place in the brush? There be beasties in there. Those who dig holes and watch us types fall in. There are those who merely peer through the leaves and slink about. What are you doing there really? There be dragons for sure. I've left a few of those lying about the place. Damsels in distress? Plenty, but as I said, I have put aside my armour. I'm not going to chase you but if you stop a while you will find me sociable, amiable and true. It has been three years or more of me my donkey and I. It has carried me along with a dependable plod. It is reliable, solid and true but it is, well, a donkey. Whereto from here? Enlighten me.
