- Where I liveEllan Vannin, Isle of Man....Gorgeous, wonderful,beautiful and that's just the women!LOL Fabulous scenery from the sandy beachs & rocky coves to the soaring peaks & wooded Glens. Friendly people, can be quiet at times & throbbing at others (namely TT & Manx Grand Prix)Can't imagine anywhere better to live!
- Where are you originally from?I was born a scouser in Liverpool of course! Then moved to Wirral(posher scousers)as a child. Now living in Isle of Man & loving it!
- Do you want to stay there?I intend to live here in IOM for rest of my life, but nothing is written in stone & if a truly wonderful guy came into my life but who could not make the move to here then we have to talk it over!
- What is your occupation?I work in Accident & Emergency at the main island Hospital
- What have you done so far?Did the usual variety of office jobs before I got married & had kids. Got divorced & set up my tiny sewing empire, making soft furnishings. Met a great guy & had kids 3 & 4 & moved to IOM. Worked for an Interior Design Company for about 2 years then my husband got cancer. After caring for him until he died I decided to go into healthcare & have worked in that field eversince. Almost 3 years now! Still sewing though!
- What are your future plans?Live for the day! You never know which one will be your last!
- Your perfect partnerNo such thing as perfect! Honesty,but not brutal honesty! Self belief,coz I need to have more of that at times. Humility,not too proud to admit they need help or may have4 got something wrong. A brilliant sense of humour...really necessary to live with me!

- What are you interests/hobbies?I just love life. I like to watch Rugby on TV but sport is not really important to me. I love people watching! I love to have friends around me at home or out & eat drink & talk....and laugh!
- MusicHave wide taste in music...not mad about Reggae, Rap or some Jazz, but will go listen to anything live! Sing to Queen, Kaiser Chiefs, Maroon 5, ELO... hell,anything!
- Your fav tv seriesLOST.CSI. Silent Witness.Holby Blue,Cracker. Any good drama.
- Your fav books/authorsI tend to only read books in bed, too busy the rest of the time(or watching TV)So its not vital to have a partner who shares that interest, but I do think its a sign of intelligence if a person is an avid reader. However reading is not an alternative to the usual bedtime precursor to sleep...might still want to read after a good love-in!
- What sort of movies do you like?Wouldn't recommend Cinema as a first date...you need to talk. Hate Chick Flicks & teen movies. Love action films, mysteries,sci-fi and detective stories.
- Types of people you like?I am more interested in a personality than in physical attractiveness, although there does need to be something that catches the eye. I like to make people feel comfortable & laugh and enjoy the repartee of like minded souls!Intelligent
- What kind of people do you find attractive? I prefer guys to be taller than me. Body size...well not important, but over-weight, rather than under-weight!Have a thing for baldies, but very open minded!
- FoodAlmost anything as long as its fresh & wholesome. Could not be a vegetarian...I love a good roast dinner.Indian food, Chinese, Italian are all great.
- DrinksI live in the countryside & prefer to drive myself home after a night out. So unless I am staying with a friend or getting a lift I tend not to drink alcohol often. But I love Tia Maria & Coke, Southern Comfort & Lemonade, Pear Cider and sparkling white wine. Am a cheap date really!
- HolidaysHave done most of Europe and lots of UK. Love to go to new destinations but cant afford it most years!
- PetsI am a softee for all animals. I have a collection of 10 cats who have adopted me over the years. They don't cause much trouble, but it is hard work keeping the beige carpets hair-free! Its costly too...Maybe I should re-home the cats & go on a few more holidays!
- Fav thingDon't have one really! But I miss my car when its getting fixed & my phone & PC when they are inaccessable...but have survived without plenty of times!
- Fav PlaceToo many to list, could be a restaurant, a part of the coast,a room in my house, or someone elses...but anywhere can be a favourite with that special person for company.
My attitude
- Family lifeI've been married, divorced, married again & widowed. Life is too short to worry about technicalities. If you get on well & fall in love, just go with the flow and enjoy life. Compromise if necessary
- Jobs&WorkingI love my job. I wish I was paid more(who doesn't)but at times I get fed-up with it! But after a good nights sleep, I am ready for the next day!
- MoneyI already have lots of friends & could always use more money, but in actual fact, its the choices which money allows you that makes it valuable, not what it buys!
- PoliticsNot a political creature, but enjoy the fact that IOM has its own Government & that you can actually know its members in person without seaking them out. They are just your neighbours & the people from the local shop or pub!Makes for a greater feel for community than in a large country.
