About me
Well, now. Here I am. Not entirely sure this is a good idea but here goes! As my profile says, I don't really know what I'm looking for but I guess I'll know when I find it. Not much use, but there you go! Anyway, rather than just fill this box with even more meaningless twaddle I'll just say that I hope I'll hear from you soon. Thanks for looking! x

About me
- Where I liveDescribe your area or region in your own words. What do you like/dislike about your area? Southport's a nice place to live - quiet seaside town (except on Fri/Sat nights!) but Liverpool and Manchester are under an hour away and some stunning countryside is a quick drive away. Where I live is only a five minute walk from the beach which is great for blowing the cobwebs away on those windy days.
- Where are you originally from?Leave empty if it does not apply. Otherwise describe where you are from and/or where you lived before. From Southport but have lived in Clacton, Bowness-on-Windemere, Chorley and Orpington. Always come back to Southport though!
- Do you want to stay there?Do you want to stay in your area forever or maybe move to another area or even country in the future? If so, where could you imagine to live? If the time is ever right then I'd love to move to the Highlands, or the Isle of Man. Different pace of life there, people are more friendly and crime is much lower. The stunning scenery helps too!
- What is your occupation? What is your profession, occupation or what do you spend most of your time with? I'm a coach driver, doing a variety of things from school contracts (bleuggh) to private hires, day trips and holidays. I love it - the variety's great and I get to see parts of the country I'd never normally see and get paid for it!
- What have you done so far? What sort of jobs did you have in the past or what sort of stuff have you done in the past that you want to mention? Left higher education early because of family circumstances and started doing mobile dj-ing (but not Peter Kay style!). Drifted into driving jobs to supplement my income then trained to be a bus driver 10 years ago.
- Your perfect partnerPlease describe your perfect partner! Female for a start! Someone who can love me for who I am, who can laugh at themselves and can see the funny side of situations. Someone who is genuine and has no side and above all someone who wants to open up completely and be loved.
Stuff I like
- MusicWhat sort of music are you into? Do you go to live gigs? Do you go to concerts, operas or musicals? Love all sorts of music except 'bang bang' music (how old does that make me sound?!). Can't really afford to go to gigs that much though I do try to get to the Liverpool Philharmonic as often as I can.
- Your fav tv seriesWhat are your favourite tv series you would love to watch with your perfect partner? Is it fashionable these days to like Doctor Who? Ideally, my perfect partner would love Frasier - comfy sofa, sexy lady and Frasier on dvd. Perfection!
- Your fav books/authorsWhat are your favourite authors, books and types of books? Do you read at all? How important would it be that your partner reads the same books? Love reading and my job gives me plenty of time to do it! Don't have much time for fiction but I love travel writing, especially Bill Bryson and I read a lot of autobiographies. I also read books about ordinary soldiers' experiences of war.
- What sort of movies do you like? What sort of movies do you like and which ones don't you like? This is important if you should go to the movies on the first date... Typical bloke really - like comedies and action films but haven't got much time for romances. And any film that has subtitles so it can be understood is bad news...
- What kind of people do you find attractive? Have you got a specific taste as far as look is concerned? Or does the outer appearance of a person mean nothing to you? Be honest... I know I can't talk but I prefer slimmer ladies but really as long as the personality shines then anything goes really. Sorry, though (and I know this makes me sound shallow) but I'm afraid I don't really go for the 'overly fuller figure'.
- FoodWhat type of food do you like? Which restaurants to you go to and which ones do you avoid? Do you like cooking? Should your partner be able to cook? What does food mean to you? Have you got a British or French attitude towards eating? As you can probably tell from my photo, food means a lot. There's bugger all point in eating if you're not going to enjoy what you're putting in your mouth (matron). Otherwise, it's just refuelling. Food is an experience, not just a means of staving off death. I love cooking, but don't get the chance as often as I'd like. I do make a mean chili con carne though! Restaurant wise, I'll try anything except Sushi. I love fish but prefer it cooked ta very much!
- DrinksAre you a sort of Father Jack, do you just get pissed once in a while or are you a strict non-alcoholic? Do you have a predelicton for certain types of drinks/juices? I am zoider drinker, oo-ar oo-ar oo-ar-ay! Ahem, sorry! Obviously im my job I can't indulge when I'm working the next day but when I'm off I make up for it! As for being a Father Jack, all I can say is 'Girls! Feck! Arse!'. Amen to that!
- HolidaysWhat sort of holiday do you like? Where have you been so far? What are your next destinations? Or does maybe travelling mean nothing to you and you prefer to stay @ home ? I've only started going abroad in the past few years but I've been to Paris, Hungary and Turkey all of which I loved. Travelling is very important and this is going to sound pompous but it really does broaden your horizons. God, what tosh that was! Anyway, my ideal holiday would be my perfect partner, a remote croft in the Highlands, an open fire, plenty of wine and lots of walks.
- PetsWhats your favourite pet or animal? Or do you hate pets? I'm very much a cat person but don't have one at the moment because of the lease on my flat. I'd love to have a rat as well. Obviously, I'm into rhyming pets!
- Fav PlaceWhat's your favourite place? Scotland. The moment I cross the border I immediately feel more relaxed.
- What's your favourite radio station ?Is there a radio station you listen to regularly or do you maybe not listen to the radio at all ? I'm a big (literally!) Smooth Radio fan. They play all the great soul, motown and r&b (in the original sense) tunes. Top radio station to keep me chilled at work. Also quite fond of Radion 2. Can't abide Radio 1 though.
- What's your favourite drink?Do you have favourite drink? (both alcoholic and non-alcoholic) Coffee - not just favourite, but absolutely necessary! Also rather partial to elderflower cordial. A nice g&t never goes amiss, and neither does a Long Island Iced Tea.
- What's your favourite food?Is there anything you like in particular? Hmmm, what don't I like? Hate aubergines, avocados, sushi and extreme offal. Other than that, bring it on!
- What are your favourite activities? What sort of activities do you like? Camping, music festivals, gym, football, aviation....or something else? Don't get too much freetime but any I do get I'd rather spend with my friends who mean the world to me. Love going camping, often by myself for the peace and quiet!
My attitude
- Family lifeDo you want to have a traditional family? What about the traditional roles in a marriage? Can you imagine to marry after all or do you think you want to lead a single life forever with lots of short-term relationships? Already have two girls aged 10 and 7 but wouldn't marry again I don't think as my divorce has made me think twice. Sounds depressing but it's best to be honest about these things! I do genuinely believe that, if two people are totally committed to each other, then a marriage ceremony is merely there to prove that committment to their friends and relations. Why go to that extent?!
- Jobs&WorkingWhat does your job mean to you? Do you just work for the money or is your job your hobby? Are you carreer-oriented? I enjoy my job immensly but it's not the be-all and end-all by a long chalk. You have to have a balance and I'd like to think that I've got it right. My friends may argue the point though!
- MoneyWhat does money mean to you? Would you like to have lots of money or lots of friends if you had to decide? Lots of friends every time. You can't take your money down the pub. Well, you can but you look like a tosser!
- PoliticsAre you interested in politics? Do you support a specific party? What do you think of the European Union? A blessing or a curse? Couldn't really give a fish's bottom about politics. They're all as bad as each other. I do make sure I vote though - it's very important not to waste your vote.
