Lets face it; you can't take life too seriously, or anything in it. -I'm a friendly, fun (i hope) guy who likes to have a laugh and a drink with my friends -I love paintballing and play for my university team -I'm a creative person and always have some project or other floating around in my head -I will give anything a go and will put my all into whatever i am doing -I'm not afraid to say how i feel, but I am considerate of other people and their opinions -I'm a bit of a geek at heart; not surprising being an engineering student lol -I look after my friends and would do anything i could to help them -My family is the most important thing to me, even when they seem to be doing their level best to drive me round the bend -I love to cook and try out new things. Sometimes they don't always work out quite how I planned, but I have yet to make something my housemates refuse to eat I'm on here to put myself out there a bit more. About me
- Where I liveStudent digs... what can i say? functional, cheap and a little on the side of nasty. but i love the place and wouldnt trade it. its close to the uni, and all the best bars and clubs lol what more couls a student need?
- Where are you originally from?Leicester is my home town, slap bang in the middle of the country. it was fun growing up there, way out in a small village with little to do but use my imagination and play with the other lkids on my street, but it was deffinately time for me to leave.
- Do you want to stay there?I could be anywhere in the future. not sure if i have found a city that feels like home yet, but i like the two i've lived in.
- What is your occupation?currently im a student at the university of southampton, studying aeronautics and astronautics, but hopefull once i have finished with the exams i want to go out into the big wide world and be an aerospace engineer, designing aeroplanes, fast cars and the like. lets face it, thats what all boys wanted to do at some point and i guess i just never grew up!
- Your perfect partnerhow do you describe someone you've never met? i think someone who finds me funny would be a good start, and someone who i can laugh with in return. someone who will let me help them, because thats what i like to do. i would also say someone who can teach me to sing properly, but almost any one could get me to sing better than i do, so thats kind of defunct lol.

- What are you interests/hobbies?Im a creative person, and i have always got plans for things i can do or make or change going around in my head, and so a few of my hobbies revolve around that. i also like going for walks to clear my head, and naps to just relax. is napping a hobby if you arent a cat? i also love paintballing. in fact (and im not sure how they got me to do this; probably something involving a free pint of ale) i am the secretary and safety officer for the paintballing club at my university.
- Musici like almost everything musicwise, but im not afraid to say what i dont like. i think everything has it's place and time, so sometimes i will listen to rock music, other times musicals or easy listenning stuff.
- Your fav tv seriesQI is the best show on TV, along with Top Gear and other similarly riduculous shows. im not much into dramas or soaps, but im always up for new experiances.
- Your fav books/authorsi like war/scifi novels, especially the stuff produced by the BlackLibrary and Dan Abnett in particular. Terry Pratchett is also a favourite of mine, but i havent read any of his works in a while lol.
- What sort of movies do you like?generally im a comedy kinda guy; throw in a couple of good explosions and im happy! that said i have a few kids films on my shelf too, am not adverse to seeing a chick-flick and can easilly handle the goriest of horrors. documentaries dressed up as blockbusters tend to bore me, but even then its not a hard and fast rule!
- Types of people you like?i like honest people who are up for a laugh, like anyone does i guess.
- What kind of people do you find attractive? Generally i like reasonably tall girls, and not overweight. apart from that i have no real preferences. and of course there is always the exception that breaks the rule!
- Foodim fairly unadventurous when it comes to food. i like my steak and chips, and i love to see real meat and veg rather than processed rubbish (tho i do love hot dogs). i will happily pop in to subway for lunch or an after drinking snack, and love to cook for myself (nothing is beyond my ability, just beyond my kitchen, appliences, cutlery and experience lol). i know what i like, and im usually pretty good on what i dont, but am willing to try anything once, or more often when my grandma refuses to tell me whats in the pie.
- DrinksI like to get tipsy, but hate being drunk. i usually go out once or twice a week, partly because thats all i can get away with on my course and partly because thats what my wallet will allow. i like to make it count when i do go out and will have a good time whatever i do.
- HolidaysI have been all over the world on holiday, so long as you only ask me about a few places! I loved Venice when i went there, but after 4 days of walking my feet hurt. i loved all of the spanish islands that my parents have taken me to, but after 2 weeks of sunbathing my skin hurt. dont get me wrong, i love holidays, but i need a balance of activity and in activity. last christmas i went skiing with the university ski club (which i love!) but after one crash into a snow mobile my knee hurt...
- Petsi am very much a cat person (not as in has whiskers and a tail!) but love all cute little furry, scaley, snuffley, crawly animals (hopefully not all in the same creature... that would be odd...)
- Fav thingCurrently my prised possesion is my paintball gun, but i have a few miniatures i have built and painted that i wouldnt do with out, and i couldnt live without my laptop. but top of the list has to be my toy bear james! i have had him since the day i was born. he has been with me through many hard times, and has always been there to celebrate my birthdays with me (unwrapping presents and the like, not on the nights out!)
- Fav PlaceMy Bed! no questions asked! having somewhere warm and quiet to snuggle up is fantastic, but better if there is someone to snuggle up to.
My attitude
- Family lifeMy grandad always tells me that the most important thing is family, and i have never doubted that. we have always had big fmily get togethers, and my girlfriends and my sister''s boyfriends have always been allowed to come and made to feel welcome. i want to have a family of my own someday, but not for a good few years yet.
- Moneyto me money is a means to do what u want and have what u need. i would always choose friends over money though, and have no problem helping people out when they need it. whenever i can spare it i like to give a bit to charity, which is unfortunately not very often seen as im on a student budget.
