About me
- Where I liveRecently moved from Bath to Bradley Stoke for the eceletic scene, culture and architecture.
- Where are you originally from?Dad in RAF so moved about a bit as a kid, but London, Yorkshire, London again and west country sums it up.
- Do you want to stay there?Reasonably happy where I am but will move somewhere else after kids grow up I guess.
- What is your occupation?I'm a sales manager on a directory which gives me opportunity o travel lots. Been to china, south of france, germany and off to florida soon.
- What have you done so far?I'v been a wine bar manager, wine waiter at the savoy, sandwich bar owner, and been in ad sales and magazine publishing for last 20 years.
- What are your future plans?Just to enjoy life, be a good dad and find someone to love and be loved by. Want to stay fit, do a few things I should have done like surf, scuba dive, and never grow old.
- Your perfect partnerSlim, sassy, with a great sense of humour, intelligent, kind, allowing of my faults, and wanting to share life and have lots of fun.
Stuff I like
- What are you interests/hobbies?west ham,music, singing, reading, history, sports, keeping fit, wine, good food, and last but not least, my kids.
- MusicVery broad range from musicals, to 30s, 40s swing (Sinatra, Fitzgerald, Cole, ellington, sara vaughan etc), jazz, rock, rnb, 60s and 70s hippy stuff like arlo guthrie, crosby stills, hendrix, cat stevens thru to kaiser chiefs, franz, red hot chillis, killers etc.
- Your fav tv seriesDon't watch as much as I used to when maried, but like stuff like Shark, CSI,West Wing, Sopranos, 24, Hustle,
- Your fav books/authorsLove to read. Read loads of thriller stuff, murder msytery, but also historical stuff, fave books include foucault's Pendullum anythig by Robertson Davies, robert Graves, currently enjoying a series about a lawyer in time of Henry VIII. Also like stuff like Lovely bones, kite runner, shadow of the wind, time travellers wife.
- What sort of movies do you like?Thrillers, film noir, foreign films, stuff like the departed, fave of all time is between casablanca and Godfather 2. Tend to watch mainly childrens films at cinema so would love to meet someone who likes going to the cinema, though it's far from an ideal 1st date! (met someone a while back and 3rd date went to see Brokeback Mountain...didn't work!)
- Types of people you like?I tend to like strong independent women but realise that I actually want to be needed too and want to be supportive and care for somoene, so bit of a catch 22 there!
- What kind of people do you find attractive? People who are funny, intelligent, educated, caring. Somoen who can also let go. And slim,with high cheekbones always does it for me, but usually my friends would say, I look for a pulse!
- FoodItalian, Indian, Thai, French, English, Chinese. I also like t cook and would like a victim!
- DrinksAs Frank says, I don't drink a lot, but I dont drink a little. Wine, beer, mainly. I try to avoid spirits. I used to be a wine waiter, so have a love of wine. Or is that I have a love of wine so used to be a wine waiter! Yes, I enjoy a drink, but tend not to start before breakfast.
- HolidaysHolidays are with my kids so anything that will keep them happy and it's not easy on your tod with two 10 yr olds. I would prefer to visit places like mexico, egypt, far east or anywhere in europe with a historical connection.
- PetsDon't have pets, but like all animals. Usually roasted with garlic and rosemary.
- Fav thing My sense of humour.
- Fav Placeanywhere with someone I love and who loves me.
My attitude
- Family lifeAr, time to be bitter and twisted - lol. I am happy being a single dad in that they see me and me as I am, not me with someone else. I love my kids to bits, which is why I moved to be closer to them after my ex-wife moved away. Hapy to meet someone with kids or not, doesn't matter, where there's a will etc. but my kids wil always come first.
- Jobs&WorkingI love my job now but have given up on the big drive for career and status as I hit the ceiling a while ago. Am happy to just enjoy my job, do it to my utmost. Being happy is what life is about. And there's more to lfe than just a job.
- MoneyNot too fussed, but sensible enough to care about building for future and not too sensible not to enjoy what i have. I'm lucky in that I do ok.
- PoliticsWas a lot more left than I am now, but still could never vote tory. Bit disillusioned by whole thing really, but then that's Blair for a lot of labour supporters.
