Dreamydavid (76) from Isle of Wight, England, Newport
About me
I am a 28yr old inside a 74yr old body. That's how it feels. After a happy marriage of almost 50 yrs I am now a widower. I am retired and live close to my family. I want to meet a lady who also wants to have an active sex life without any ties or committments. I am fit, clean and free from STD's. Had a vasectomy around 1970. Our marriage, though happy, was rather staid and not vey exciting. There are many sexual avenues that I want to explore. A lady of similar circumstances may find that we could explore places that are new to both or either of us. Sometimes teacher, sometimes pupil. It is never too late to try new things and I would enjoy the company of a like-minded lady who would come with me on the journey.

About me
- Where I liveNewport, Isle of Wight. The main town and administrative centre of the island has an excellent range of shops and plenty of pubs, restaurants, cinema, night club, central library, arts centre, theatres, etc. It is the hub of the islands' bus transport service from where you can take buses all over the island. Carisbrook Castle is on the outskirts which is well worth a visit. Has a museum in the Guildhall, a partially reconstructed roman villa and there are a series of 'Ghost Walks'. The older part of Newport has many old (early 1800's) houses still tenanted (my daughter lives in one and I did previously). Parking is a major problem and the pavements, in the older streets, are very narrow. I think that it is a great place to live.
- Where are you originally from?Originally from Sutton Coldfield, north of Birmingham, then Nottingham, Sutton, Birmminghan, Newtown (Powys), Newport, Spilsby (Lincolnshire) and finally Newport again.
- Do you want to stay there?I expect this to be my final home-town and I have no reason to live elsewhere.
- What is your occupation?Retired. Previously many types of work in plastics, engineeriing, education technician, litho printing, management in a Further Education College. Probably a few more that I have forgotten. Also 2 years in the Army (RAOC) seving in UK, Tripoli and Egypt.
- What have you done so far?See above
- What are your future plans? To make the best of everything and try to catch up on many undone things.
- Your perfect partnerA lady of varied interests with a sense of humour (of any variety), a non-smoker, non-drinker, sex-addict, easygoing, gentle, cuddly, sensuous, tactile, healthy, bright, etc.
Stuff I like
- What are you interests/hobbies?Mainly reading, TV, computing, movies, fossicking, sex, photography, DIY, family.
- MusicDon't go to live shows. Like electronic (Vangelis, Toshiba, Kraftwerk, Jean Michelle Jarre), older pop '60's to '80's, classical (Prokofiev, Glinka, Sibelius, Dvorak), trance, ambient, techno.
- Your fav tv seriesHotel Babylon
- Your fav books/authorsMost listed in the previous section. Not at all omportant for us to have the same taste in books.
- What sort of movies do you like?Supernatural (The Others), action (Diehard, X-Men), science fiction (Star Wars, Contact, Alien..), rom-com (When Harry Met Sally, Fun with Dick and Jane), romance (Bridges of Madison County, Shipping News).
- Types of people you like?People with no strong religious beliefs to push. Largely non-political. Best in one-to-one or small groups. Easy going attitudes but with a strong social conscience. Lovers of justice and equality and fairness. Like to let themselves go and have fun.
- What kind of people do you find attractive? Appearence doesn't matter provided that it is clean and tidy. I'm not into flowing dresses and BO. As above.
- FoodWhat type of food do you like? Which restaurants to you go to and which ones do you avoid? Do you like cooking? Should your partner be able to cook? What does food mean to you? Have you got a British or French attitude towards eating? Most foods. I try to stick to a modified Hay diet in which I don't eat carbs and protein at the same time (I've dropped a stone in weight since I started about 15 months ago - and I eat as much as I like!). I cook for myself usually simple omlettes, stir-fry, sometimes a fry-up. Many salad based meals. I enjoy Chinese and Indian when I can find a good one. Don't care for French or Italian - over-rated. Fish and chips for a treat. Burgers are an abomination - but they taste nice! Don't really like beef but the odd steak is OK. Best meat is pork. Like chicken. Fish - kippers, mackerel, pilchards. Food is an essential if you want to keep on living and I enjoy eating anyway. May as well make it as good as possible.
- DrinksI have no liking for wines - too dry (sour) for me. Don't mind the odd bitter or cider but really never bother when I'm by myself. Enjoy Bailey's but it's too expensive to drink in the quantity that I would like to. Drink fruit juice of some kind every day.
- Holidays I enjoy holidays here or abroad. Best we ever had was a week in Chipping Campden in the early '60's. Been to Germany a couple of times and I find it very agreeable. It suits me. USA once on a tour of National Parks which I really enjoyed, both the spectacle and the people that I met. It's hard to say which I enjoyed more. Went to Spain last year. Not a success. I don't want to visit a Latin country again. Last year had a barge holiday in Leicestershire which was great. So any where, any time or stay at home.
- PetsI love cats. To me they are the perfect creation. I love the look, feel, smell of them and they are so intelligent and loving. Dogs are horrible pack animals who only respect those stronger than themselves. They smell aweful, are noisy and can't be trusted.
- Fav thingNo idea.

My attitude
- Family lifeI have a traditional family already and I have no intention of changing what I have. I am not looking for more fammily - just a friend.
- Jobs&WorkingI always enjoyed my work. When it stopped being enjoyable I stopped doing it. I was never ambitious in the traditional sense. So long as I earned enough to feed, clothe and house us, with a little left over for extras, I was happy.
- MoneyIt would be great to have lots of money but there isn't anything that I am without because I can't afford it. If I had millions I would enjoy giving it away.
- PoliticsI believe that the primary function of government, which all parties overlook, is the wellbeing of the population. The nation is the people, not the businesses or the politics. If the people are in good shape the country is too. Maybe not in balance of payments or wealth or influence but in the moral sense.
