I'm from Germany and I finished high school about 3 months ago and right away I started my long time before planned gap year here in Edinburgh. I'm volunteering as a peer mentor in a hostel for ex-homeless young people(17-25yrs) - why? Because I wanted to help people, but also to get out of Germany for a change of pace and as my French is only decent I decided to go to an English speaking country. Well and I really like it here, the people are kind of more open minded and out going than in Germany. The rock/punk/ska music scene on the other hand though is really badly here, as there's rarely good live music here. All they got is DJs all the time! >_<
But the pubs here are really cool(the ones with accoustic live music), I heard in Ireland they're even better!!
Well as you may notice, music plays a great part in my life, but even more so politics and socialising. That's why I'm probably going to study International Relations somewhere, yeah right somewhere, likely not Germany at least.

OK, I'll describe a typical week in my life and you can decide whether you fancy a piece of it. Mon to Wed is spent practicing my profession by day and doing lots of mundane stuff like my washing and ironing in the evening.
