Despite regular concert reunions, Wonderful is Madness's first studio album for 13 years, reuniting the band with their original producers Clive Langer and Alan Winstanley. The material on the album is just as catchy and fun as anything that they released during their creative peak of the early 1980s, with that familiar pop-ska edge. Their stunning duet with Ian Dury, "Drip Fed Fred", is an anthem for a right ol' cockney knees-up, while "Johnny the Horse", "Lovestruck" and "If I Didn't Care" are all standout tracks. Overall, Wonderful proves that the boys haven't lost their ability to create the party music for everyone. --John Galilee
